Whether you're shooting large-format e-commerce content, high-end brand campaigns, or creative product animation, The Turner delivers the stability and precision control to execute every shot flawlessly. The 300mm CNC-machined aluminium top plate provides a clean, flat rotating surface, and the 10m XLR cable gives you full flexibility in studio layout.
The Turner arrives with a NEMA 23 stepper motor fitted and ready to connect. To complete your setup you will need a stepper driver and a step-and-direction controller. See the Requirements section below, or start with the Stepper Driver Hub Pro.
Why choose The Turner?
120kg payload — six times the load capacity of comparable professional turntables, rated for full mannequin, furniture, and automotive shoots.
≤3 arc-minute positioning accuracy — gear-driven precision at the same standard used in broadcast and cinema production.
Native Dragonframe and Camerabotics compatibility — plug-and-play with DMC-32 and Action Server via standard 5-pin XLR. No adapters, no custom firmware.
UK-built and UK-supported — assembled at our Essex workshop, with direct access to the engineer who designed it.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Which motion control systems does The Turner work with?
A: The Turner has been tested with Camerabotics Lensmaster (via the Action Server) and Dragonframe (via the DMC-32). It is compatible with any step-and-direction controller that supports NEMA 23 stepper motors, including simple single-axis controllers if you don't need multi-axis synchronisation.
Q: Does The Turner include a stepper driver?
No. The Turner includes the turntable frame, pre-fitted stepper motor, aluminium top plate, and 5m XLR cable. A stepper driver and step-and-direction controller are required for operation. The KN Moco Stepper Driver Hub Pro and Hub Go are both compatible and available in the store.
Q: What driver hub do I need?
A: For permanent studio installations with a 19-inch rack, use the Stepper Driver Hub Pro. For location work or portable single-axis setups, the Stepper Driver Hub Go is the better choice.
Q: What is the lead time?
A: The Turner is made to order at our workshop in Essex. Standard lead time is 4 weeks from date of purchase, based on supply chain and assembly time. If you need a faster turnaround, contact us before ordering and we'll confirm current build availability.
Q:Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes. Email us your shipping address before purchasing and we'll provide a shipping cost and timeline. Lead time remains 4 weeks from order date regardless of destination.
Q:Can The Turner be used for people, mannequins, or large furniture?
A: Yes. The 120kg payload rating was designed with full mannequin and large product shoots in mind. Ensure the surface is level and the load is centred on the top plate. The Turner has been used for fashion, automotive, and furniture commercial shoots.
Q:I want to build my own — is there documentation available?
A: Yes. The DIY Heavy-Duty Turntable Documentation pack includes the CAD files, parts list with purchase links, and build reference notes used to make The Turner. Available as an instant digital download.
